The 11th European Association of Clinical Anatomy


European Association of the Clinical Anatomy (EACA) is the biennial event of European even global anatomy and clinical anatomy field. It aims to promote the anatomy study applied in the daily practice of medicine, surgery and medical imaging, and the more profound intention is to promote the scientific contacts and the development of friendly relations within a community of modern Europe. The 11th was held in Padova, Italy. There were more than 300 anatomists and clinical staffs present at this conference, who coming from Europe, South Africa, Iran, Korea, Japan, China, Australia and America. However, only three Chinese scholars coming from Shandong University School of Medicine attended, Prof. Liu Shuwei, Ph.D. Liu Chao and Zhan Jinfeng respectively.


The feature of this conference was various, wide and discussing around the clinical anatomy. You could show your report by oral presentation or poster. The reports mainly expound two parts: anatomy teaching and the research of the clinical anatomy. The teaching part lain stress on autopsy, discussion teaching around questions, contacting with clinic early and taking advantage of modern medias. However, the research part included neuroanatomy, gross anatomy and embryology. And according to the structure of the human body, gross anatomy is divided into head and neck, chest, abdomen, upper limb and lower limb.


Prof. Liu Shuwei reported that the development of fetal basalnuclei using MRI of high field. Ph.D. Liu Chao reported that segmentation of pulmonary segments based on 3D pulmonary artery reconstruction. While Ph.D. Zhan Jinfeng gave the report that mapping fetal brain development in the second trimester.
