Sectional and imaging anatomic seminar was held in Baotu spring-campus of Shandong University on November 25 to 27. The theme was “Present situation and future development of sectional imaging anatomy”, and it contained functional imaging, molecular imaging anatomy, sectional anatomy, imaging anatomy, digital surgery, imaging techniques and image processing technology. Professor Li Yunqing, president of Chinese Society for Anatomical Sciences, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Professor Liu Shuwei from Shandong University, executive member of Chinese Society for Anatomical Sciences and chairman of Committee for Sectional and Imaging Anatomy, made an opening speech.

As a high-end academic seminar of domestic sectional imaging anatomy, Prof. Li Yunqing, Prof. Tian Jie from Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Zhou Changman who is secretary-general of Chinese Society for Anatomical Sciences and so on were invited and reported. And Prof. Li Jicheng from Zhejiang University, Asian subeditor of "The Anatomical Recordv" introduced written request and submission skills.

The seminar hosted by Chinese Society for Anatomical Sciences, Shandong University School of Medicine, and co-organized by Anatomy Institute of Shandong Province medical and Shandong Medical Imaging Research Institute. There were 110 scholars from domestic famous universities and research institutes and over 230 teachers and students from Shandong University present at the meeting. This seminar is one of the important academic activities to celebrate the 110 anniversary of Shandong University and 100 anniversary of Shandong University School of Medicine built.
